Hi! I like this game, and have some suggestions: 1. If shaman and N (e.g. 3) mice alive, allow shaman to enter to the mousehole. This maybe useful against mice trolling. 2. Portals/Warps. I think its may be added to more maps, but with restrictions. For example, shaman would need to hold mouse button for 15 seconds to create one portal. Or portals would close when it used by N (e.g. 10) different (to prevent trolling) players and shaman would need to recreate it (maybe now faster than 15 seconds). 3. I like to have fun in room 1 :D, but there very difficult to play "No overlap" maps with so many mice. Maybe make server not to select "No overlap" maps when mice more than N (e.g. 50)

And some map suggestions: 1. I imagined "Two shamans battle" map, where shamans are... partners and cannot go too far from each other. I think it would be fun :D 2. Maybe create maps with 3, 4 shamans? :D

And I heard about map editor from Twitter... I hope it's will come :)

We would be great admin team with Jessica ;] I have 571 not reverted contribs in various namespaces currently, and Jessica is about 283 not reverted contributions now. Sorry, I didnt take them off, I used a backup of the database from the 24th which reverted admin rights. I will set those up again. Also captcha is now installed so that should help.

Recent changes

I saw that the templates used on the main page are set to semi-protected again. Are all user's still auto-confirmed after registering because if so I think it would be best to fully protect anything of the main page. Also do we want to put something up on the main page explaining that the last week or so of edits have been lost? --Mouserone 15:30, 31 July 2010 (UTC)

There is now a captcha if any regular user or anon makes an edit. That should hopefully filter out much of the spam. Also sure if you would like to put something on the homepage that would be awesome. --User:mpcovcd

Please dont change the main page banner, its was a text banner for SEO purposes. As for the main page templates I guess we can discuss with the others about that one.

SEO is search engine optimization. Having that info as text instead of an image makes it easier for people to find us. I think it would be ok for you to change to look of the banner as long as it's still text, but that is obviously mpcovd's call. --Mouserone 21:40, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

Also can we set it so that users can edit their talk pages after being blocked. We've already had one user blocked incorrectly who had no way to contest his block [1], and another who used an alternate ip address to discuss his block [2]. SEVERNAME is operating exactly how it should. Were you looking for {{SITENAME}} which gives Transformice Wiki?

I also posted this at the bottom of my talkpage, but this plugin could potentially help block subsequent spam attacks, because most (maybe all) pages that have been deleted so far link to the same domain. I've done a bit more perusing for solutions, and so far it seems that SpamBlacklist is the best bet, or a wiki lockdown (ugh). If it hasn't been done, I reccommend setting the custom blacklist up, that way we can block much more of the spam. As a response to Firejack: I am online almost daily checking the new pages, as are some other admins. You don't have to add the template if you don't wanna, but because the spam is more common than air, you may want to use it on other Transformice-related Pages that may need to be deleted. --Spindle 01:08, 2 February 2011 (UTC)

Would it be possible to block and pages which link to a certain website. Only Bureaucrats and Sysadmins have the power to nominate others to administrator/bureaucrat, and to change the abilities and rights given to each user group. Error creating thumbnail

As you may know, pictures uploaded by normal users can't be resized for some reason or other. It returns the error "Error creating thumbnail: sh: /usr/bin/convert: Permission denied". Why did it start doing that in the first place? I don't know. But, I think I might have a solution for that.
According to this thing here, there's some kind of permission error going on. (Duh.) It can be fixed by changing some kinda of "chown" permissions or something? I dunno. Corrupted/Missing Files

Wow I didn't realize how many images we actually had :| sat there looking at the backup folder as each image was being transferred by FTP - definitely took longer than expected! Some of the files were missing from when I transferred servers, but I used a backup copy and restored all missing image files. It should all be fine now, if you come across a page with missing thumbs try re-saving the page it should bring up the images. Let me know if anything else! -- mpcovcd

Broken Page

Hi Mpcovcd, I was trying to upload an image, but an error appeared (Could not create directory "mwstore://local-backend/local-public/b/b3". ) I dont know if I made and error while uploading the image or if it is an error of the page... Please, help me Obemice

Thank you for bringing this problem to my attention, it is now fixed. I also noticed an issue with the thumbnails I will try to fix this as soon as possible. You may have noticed that the site is running much faster than it was a few weeks back, I moved the wiki to a much better VPS and upgraded the wiki script from 1.16 to 1.19 which is causing some problems here and there. NotEvil extension

Hey, I think this extension would solve the spam issue on the wiki, tfm rarely needs new external links, only bots are using them. mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:NotEvil (it prevents any kind of edit containing external urls unless the user is whitelisted) Fer 07:40, 12 October 2012 (UTC)

We'll need a different verification for account creation (a different form of captcha or question); 99% of recent changes is accounts. Asirra extension

I would remove the captcha for editing and only leave it for creating accounts (if the bots can already solve the captcha on account creation, they will be able when posting so it's only annoying for real users).

I cannot edit a page
