About the Transformice Community

Transformice is a game where everyone is out to get you. Everyone in this game is out there to kill you, toss you into a pit, push you into a pit, use a trampoline to toss you into a pit, make the bridge you are standing on collapse therefore killing you and generally doing everything possible to get the cheese first. But.. some mice have finally been able to become more civilized and have created small Transformice communities. Coexistence between greedy mice may just be possible. Here is a small list of Transformice communities.

==Note from the Admin: Recent Spam Attacks== Hi everyone, This morning Spindle brought it to my attention that users have been noticing some viruses that may have stemmed from the recent spam attack. As soon as I received the email I got to work on trying to remedy the problem. Spindle recommended a certain spamblack list which is now in effect, and I have also put in the entire wikimedia blacklist (really big blacklist) which is also now preventing access to spammers. This should fix all issues with the wiki, and I will closely monitor it myself over the next few days. I wanted to thank all of the users who stuck with us, and the admins who constantly deleted spam pages, and kept me informed throughout this process. If you have any questions feel free to post on my user talk page which will notify me by email immediately. --Admin

Wiki To-do-list

• All of the pages, eventually, will need citations, either by confirming with an external site or by the game itself.
  • Remember that this is a wiki that anyone can edit. All of the information is inherently unreliable and we've already had several trolls running around. Information must be documented in a reliable, external source.
• More standards are required
  • Map images need to be standardized - should the shaman be there or not, and should you show the map in its initial position or after say, 5 seconds, to better demonstrate falling bombs?
  • Map descriptions will need Solutions, Common pitfalls, and an analysis of common group behavior (for example, on map 20, about 30% of the mice will almost always try to get across and cause the plank to fall).
  • There are a ton of exploit-based pages, along with techniques like moonwalking or wall jumping etc. which need to be standardized.
  • Pages on each individual physics object available will need to have a standard format
• Almost all the pages are stubs and need more information.

Note from the Admin

Hi everyone, Transformice Wiki was launched on June 21st 2010, with the pure notion of creating the best Transformice resource on the planet. Today marks the first full week of service, and just like the game we have gone through enormous changes. Today we have 38 pages of content, 116 uploaded files, and 33 registered users. It’s not Google, but it’s our little site. I watched the traffic go from 179 uniques per day to 1500 uniques and growing.

I wanted to stress that I couldn’t have done this without our fantastic users. A few days ago, our user Erik McClure completely redid the front page – it looks awesome. User Pingases(User #5 Yeah!) has put in hours and hours of work, and created one of the top visited pages on the Wiki – the Anvil God page. Lastly user Acidifiers has been the brain child of many of the content pages around the wiki. These three users are just a small portion of the great community that has been built around this Wiki. Thank you.

Some of you may have noticed that there now is an ad on the bottom of the page. I apologize for this, but the increase in traffic has led to an increase in bandwidth usage. I don’t expect the ad to make much, but I know whatever it does make it will help. So I hope that you guys will forgive me, I promise to never have intrusive ads, or flashing ads and etc.

• DO NOT create sections using the header =Section Title= . This would make it the same size as the title of the page. Use ==Section Title== .
• DO NOT use headers as lists. Just write a paragraph, it's actually shorter. Use "and", and anyone who comes by can make it sound all fancy if they feel like it.
• DO feel free to ask questions.
• DO NOT ego stroke. As a general rule of thumb if your username appears on a article in main space it's going to get reverted.
• DO use spell check. Please? It's really easy and fast to do.
• DO NOT use {{stub}} at the bottom of an article use it at the top.
• DO use {{clear}} after pictures in an article. This will place all of the text after your picture
