The domain at cheese.formice.com/leaderboard has provided a ranking format for the top players since the website was registered on the 11th of March 2010. Some of the listed records are in need of updating, or changing.

Former Number One, Ssk

Ranking archives for all categories from March 11th 2010 to March 1st, 2011 are currently unavailable.

The 'overall' rank is dependant on a mean average of all achievement and skill statistics, which are explained in the thumbnail to the right.

As of December 23rd 2011, Thejkb took over the long-lived record from Artkiller for longest time as overall #1 player.

Around 5 months after Ssk's reign at the top, EN Moderator and record-holder for the Most Gathered Cheese per individual mouse, Thejkb - became the fifth player of the year to achieve Overall World-Wide #1 status, and has held on to this position to the present day.

On April 25th Ssk became the fourth player to take the top spot in 2011, finally overtaking Holz, who had held the #1 rank for 15 days. Though Ssk has no individual ranking records, his overall rank comes unsurprisingly, after becoming part of the top 25 rounds played, top 25 cheese gathered, top 3 firsts and top 3 saves obtained, as well as being in the top 10 hardmode saves obtained categories.

Ssk's predecessor, the overall ranking #2 is Holz, one of the transformice staff. He also handles racing map submissions and moderates frequently on the EN2 server. Holz took the limelight from former number one Chrisbeer, who had held the top spot for 36 days spanning from March 4th to April 10th 2011.

Chrisbeer proceeded Megygy, who was the first player to challenge contention for the overall #1 position. Megygy also holds the current record for most cheese personally gathered as shaman, which has yet to be challenged since the skill statistic was first archived.

Megygy's predecessor, Artkiller was also the first archived number one player in transformice. Former #1 Ssk came within only 2 days of overtaking Artkiller's long-standing record, but only managed 151 days. Artkiller is recognised as arguably one of the most famous players throughout the game.

Individual Statistics

In terms of Normal & Hardmode saves per individual mouse, currently, the player with the most normal saves, Til, is also the only player in the overall top 10 to be below 130,000 rounds played. Whilst this might sound underwhelming, statistically and technically, Til is the best shaman worldwide, both in terms of being at an astounding ~227,000 saves, and in terms of ratios. Having an astonishing 183% saves:rounds, Til is currently ranked #6 in terms of shaman ratio, and by statistics is by far the most experienced.

The other five players to feature above Til in the saves ratio category are only ranked per their ratio, and not in terms of their statistics. As a result, their overall rounds and other stats are harshly lower than that of Til.

Despite being ranked 9th worldwide, Til still ranks outside the top 200 for rounds.

Presently, Til is very closely followed by Camillavilla (168k) who are far beyond any other competition. Camillavilla holds on to the title of Most Hardmode Saves per individual mouse, incredibly being 15,000 ahead of world #1 Thejkb.

By way of Firsts, the current and interestingly long-lived holder of Most Firsts per individual mouse, Archives, currently Worldwide #6 and Brazilian #1 leads by a staggeringly high 4,500 margin. He was preceded by Xset, former Global #3 who was later disqualified from the leaderboards.

Archives is also the first player to have passed the 50,000 firsts mark

Controversy

In early April of 2011, some incorrect ranking information displayed as the famous bot Holzinator temporarily obtained the number 1 rank in both Normal and Hardmode save categories. The bot is famous for hosting the racing room minigame on several mainstream transformice servers, and has recently logged in over 1.3 million normal, and over 300,000 Hard Mode saves.
