[edit] Anti-Aliasing
Hello Fer, you like how my shop images are anti-aliased? I zoom in, then I Press Prt Screen. I go to photoshop, a paste my image. I copy the image and make a new file. I use my magic wand tool and I make the tolerance 0. Then, I will press the blue background and press delete. Last, I save it as a PNG file. Does that answer your question? XD --
11yrsold 10:46, 30 June 2011 (CDT)
- What's the point of copying the image and making a new one? Cool12309(T|C) 12:03, 30 June 2011 (CDT)
- If you don't copy the cropped image of the original, you're just going to export your image as a whole screenshot. --

- I only use GIMP to edit the images, do you know if that tool exists there? Thanks for answering btw. --Fer 17:32, 30 June 2011 (CDT)
- Hm.... I'm not sure. I have used GIMP before but I didn't like it. Go to google and check if you there's a magic selection wand tool in GIMP like in Photoshop. --

I think that it is not problem of GIMP but from my video card itself, even the screenshots i take on high quality, are not very antialiased.
Fer 11:56, 19 July 2011 (CDT)
- Hmmm, what's your graphics card? I have Intel Graphics. Yet, the images seem pretty anti-aliased. Although I'm unable to anti-aliased any .gifs like the fishbowl because I have never gotten that item in the game. --
Fakenoob 16:35, 24 July 2011 (CDT)
- I'm on average laptop with an Intel graphics card.

[edit] Cfmbot
hello Fer. I would like to ask that A:before banning someone for doing something, please look at what they do, and B: the CFMbot commands are not to remain public, these commands are made to be a game for people to figure out and enjoy, we've not allowed threads in either the official forums or the cfm forums, so we would kindly ask that you don't post them here either. hence, if anyone does post them, I will be deleting them
- And who is this to tell Fer he has to take them down? Cool12309(T|C) 11:42, 19 July 2011 (CDT)
- I think he is Kazumamice from CheeseFormice, he is a moderator on their forums.

[edit] Excessive Spam Solutions
You may mix and match as you want 1) Turn off account creation 2) Require accounts to be manually approved to be able to edit 3) Turn off editing via IP addresses.
These are all I have at the moment, but this seems like the only way to lower/remove the spam. Cool12309(T|C) 11:42, 19 July 2011 (CDT)
- I'm afraid that not even bureaucrats can do that, only someone who has access to the wiki server itself, and that would be Mpcovcd
- I've found the Wiki Blacklist My_spam_blacklist, all the spam since I joined was from those 3 domains.
Fer 21:46, 20 July 2011 (CDT)
- As for now, the blacklist is in the mainspace, mpcovcd should probably be contacted at some point so that it could be moved to MediaWiki. If there are any more spam problems in the future, add the URL's to the list. --Spindle 02:25, 21 July 2011 (CDT)

[edit] Banner and Kiss GIF
Hello Fer, I changed your Kiss GIF FPS, you can change back if you want. I also made you a banner ^^. --

[edit] We have some competition
Recently, User: Bankish had gotten 2 original vector outlines of Ash's Hat and the Mouse Helmet. --
Fakenoob 11:46, 6 August 2011 (CDT)
- I'm pretty sure that he/she is cooperating ^^
Fer 12:29, 6 August 2011 (CDT)
- He just updated a sleeping hat. But, he doesn't seem to respond to us... e.e Ehhh User:Supermouse and User:Bankish are the only one who can update the original vector outline. But supermouse quit a long time ago. Fakenoob 14:14, 6 August 2011 (CDT)
[edit] SWF's
I have some SWF's feel free to decompile them. http://www.mediafire.com/?7uy7rhwydbb9ynj <- T_T No. New shop items are not in here. Some how Bankish knows a link to the new shop items. Or I just suck and fail, </3. --
Fakenoob 16:36, 6 August 2011 (CDT)
- I checked them all and they have only have some country flags and some other icons. We are looking for a big file, several MBs :3
Fer 16:55, 6 August 2011 (CDT)
[edit] I Quit
Ehh, I quit. I just can't compete with original images. Bankish is doing a fine job updating the images. --
Fakenoob 21:20, 9 August 2011 (CDT)
- Yeah, now I usually wait for him/her to upload the image first, before doing it myself. Bankish told us that he/she is taking the pics from this thread on the TFM forums http://forums.transformice.com/showthread.php?t=11991&goto=newpost. I took some images from there too.
Fer 06:19, 10 August 2011 (CDT)
- He told me already. I just find it weird that we are using other sources. Doesn't seem right to me. --
Fakenoob 15:52, 10 August 2011 (CDT)
- I would prefer too to get the images by myself, but we can't unless we get our hands on the original swf's. I asked them how are they getting those files but they seem resistant to give me more information.

[edit] Step Towards Spam Prevention?
Every time a minor spam edit is made to a page, you protect it. How about protecting all the pages? Cool12309(T|C) 19:36, 23 August 2011 (CDT)
- I can't do that , nor want to :3. (not even Bureaucrats can, only the Site Admin)
I only semi-protected some pages, so users have to register an account before making edits. (Two pages with speed records disabled and two with edit warrings.)
Do you have any other solution in mind about those changes? I'm always open for feedback.
Fer 20:21, 23 August 2011 (CDT)
- LET'S BAN EVERYBODY! 8D No, not really. :x Although......
Jessica U. Ingmann (Feedback/Edits) 21:49, 23 August 2011 (CDT)
- 2 things. 1, that is what I meant to do. 2, do you have a way of finding out who is active on the wiki? I will need to know before I tell you what I want to tell you...? Cool12309(T|C) 13:33, 24 August 2011 (CDT)
- 1. Admins and Bureaucrats don't have many differences with normal, nor even unregistered users. No special GUI nor interface. Only the Site Admin can apply such big changes to the wiki.
2. You can use this: ActiveUsers
Fer 14:23, 24 August 2011 (CDT)
- Please, guys. Protecting all the pages would be a stupid move. This is a wiki, it's supposed to be open for everyone to help. You also should not protect pages for indefinited time. Wheny ou undo an edit, put the reason on the edit summary, so they can understand why are their speed records being deleted. --Rowt 16:39, 24 August 2011 (CDT)
- I don't plan to protect any page. Even if I wanted the wiki only allows to do it manually, page by page.
Fer 16:50, 24 August 2011 (CDT)
- Okay, I understand, but you still didn't get what I meant. I meant to protect all the pages to auto-confirmed. Also, I know it might be sorta far-fetched or desperate, but could I have at least some power to block users or delete pages? I see these all the time and it's really annoying to just have to wait for it to go away. Cool12309(T|C) 00:51, 25 August 2011 (CDT)
- I can't change user's categories(i'm just a sysop/administrator), you should talk to an active Bureaucrat.
I still think that protecting all pages isn't a good idea, anonymous contributions are most of the time helpful.

[edit] Question on Spam
What did we ever do/why are we targeted/who are the spammers (a common group or organization)? Cool12309(T|C) 14:36, 12 September 2011 (CDT)
- Most of them are probably just bots targeting wiki pages, not even real people.
Fer 15:45, 12 September 2011 (CDT)
[edit] Main Page minor change
Can you make the Current Version link to Template:Main Page/Version? Cool12309(T|C) 13:59, 24 September 2011 (CDT)
- But what's wrong with the current link? You can go to the updates from there. Could you explain why is it needed to be changed?
Fer 14:35, 24 September 2011 (CDT)
[edit] Uhhh...
I'm on Google Chrome, when I went to the Recent Changes, chrome warned be that this site is a phishing site...? Cool12309(T|C) 19:11, 29 September 2011 (CDT)
- I use chrome too and this happened to me just today. I don't know why nor how to solve it.
Fer 20:16, 29 September 2011 (CDT)
- I realized that there is an option to report an incorrect phishing warning. When the phishing screen appears, click on Report an error and submit the request to google. If enough of us do it, the warning message will disappear.
Fer 12:27, 2 October 2011 (CDT)
- I did that twice, but it still shows up. Cool12309(T|C) 07:08, 3 October 2011 (CDT)
- The idea was to remove the wiki from the general Google blacklist. If you want to disable the alert on your Chrome browser, you can disable it on Options > Under the Hood > Enable phishing and malware protection, but you will disable it for all websites. I don't know if there is a way to whitelist a page on Chrome.
Fer 18:02, 4 October 2011 (CDT)
- It's not just Chrome. It's also Firefox. I click not a phishing site although, you'll need Mpcovcd to tell Google that his site isn't a phishing site. Also, <3 , I updated some items. There must be something that made Google think it's a phishing site...

[edit] This Needs to Stop
I know I said this a thousand times on a bunch of different admin talk pages, but this spam thing NEEDS TO STOP. There has to be SOMETHING we can do, even if it means changing wiki links (transformicewiki.net maybe?). Cool12309(T|C) 15:05, 11 October 2011 (CDT)
- I'm afraid that there is little that we can do now to prevent spam, and the most common measures have already been implemented(blacklist, captcha). But given the open-edit nature of wiki websites this will always be an issue.
If you find another way of preventing spam, talk with the wiki admin Mpcovcd, he is the only one who can install or tweak them.

[edit] Blacklist List
~removed Cool12309(T|C) 14:04, 4 November 2011 (CDT)
- Lol! don't link that here too, Google's robot will count it.
I tend to add only those links that become repetitive.
Fer 16:44, 4 November 2011 (CDT)
[edit] Broken Image
The Queue screen you uploaded is broken. It leaded me to [[1]] o-o --Fakenoob 12:05, 13 November 2011 (CST)
- That's odd, I'm seeing it just fine http://transformicewiki.com/index.php?title=File:Queue.png. Although checking Game_updates, it seems malformated somehow, but it looks like a server side issue. It will probably fix itself or User:Mpcovcd will take care of it.

[edit] Recent Spam
Hey! Thanks for updating my user talk, I took a few steps I'll give it a few hours to see how they pan out. If not I'll lock the wiki down until I can get some pros to come in and take a look. If there is ever a spam attack please do not hesitate to let me know. Thanks!! - mpcovcd
[edit] Hi, long time no talk! ^^
Hi! xD, it's been a long time since we talked on TransformiceWiki! The wiki is so inactive now T.T!--Fakenoob 00:34, 8 January 2012 (CST)
- Hey! It's true about the decay of user's participation on the wiki. I log in every day though, but since I have a job now I don't have much time to make contributions, I only monitor what other users do. If I make some time, I'll upload the new Xmas items and revamp the page a little, but seems a bit late now.
Fer 06:59, 8 January 2012 (CST)
[edit] I updated the Christmas items
I saw that the Christmas items weren't transparent. I'm currently updating them so they are transparent. I didn't get it in the game but, I will try my best to make it transparent and maintain its quality. --Fakenoob 19:14, 9 January 2012 (CST)

[edit] Re: Valentines
Thank you for your compliments! I was hard away working on uncovering the secrets of this event.
Unfortunately, I just noticed I forgot to include the Red Bow-Tie, and now I have no idea where it goes in the item order and since I was using the items to help me figure out how many times I did the map to get the titles, the amounts needed per title are possibly off by 1! What should I even do! AUUGH! --Tempmouse 14:05, 9 February 2012 (CST)
[edit] Thanks for Keeping Things Going
Hey, dude. I just wanted to thank you for keeping things going while the rest of us be lazy or deal with Reality Land. It's a lot of responsibility and you handle it well! I wish there was something nice we could do for you to properly thank you. :D

Fer 16:02, 18 March 2012 (EDT)
- I second Jessica. I've been busy with Reality Land. But really, it's great to see that dedication you have, something I used to have as well. Oh well, I hope to check on the Wiki more often now. Cheers :) --Spindle 03:14, 20 March 2012 (EDT)

[edit] Hello!
I'm Reeze, a new user to the wiki. I'd like to propose a few ideas. I'm a bureaucrat and admin at the Club Penguin Wiki, so don't think I'm completely new to things like this. :3
- Demoting inactive admins/bureaucrats
- Creating a wiki council (suggest topics on a wiki page and discuss them at a monthly meeting on an IRC channel)
- Mouse of the Month contest
- Change background to an image so the logo stands out
- Themed logos (Halloween)
Thanks!
-
