Anti-Aliasing

Hello Fer, you like how my shop images are anti-aliased? I zoom in, then I Press Prt Screen. I go to photoshop, a paste my image. I copy the image and make a new file. I use my magic wand tool and I make the tolerance 0. Then, I will press the blue background and press delete. Last, I save it as a PNG file. Does that answer your question? Cfmbot

hello Fer. I would like to ask that A:before banning someone for doing something, please look at what they do, and B: the CFMbot commands are not to remain public, these commands are made to be a game for people to figure out and enjoy, we've not allowed threads in either the official forums or the cfm forums, so we would kindly ask that you don't post them here either. hence, if anyone does post them, I will be deleting them

Excessive Spam Solutions

You may mix and match as you want 1) Turn off account creation 2) Require accounts to be manually approved to be able to edit 3) Turn off editing via IP addresses.

I'm afraid that not even bureaucrats can do that, only someone who has access to the wiki server itself, and that would be Mpcovcd

I've found the Wiki Blacklist My_spam_blacklist, all the spam since I joined was from those 3 domains. Fer 21:46, 20 July 2011 (CDT)

As for now, the blacklist is in the mainspace, mpcovcd should probably be contacted at some point so that it could be moved to MediaWiki. If there are any more spam problems in the future, add the URL's to the list. --Spindle 02:25, 21 July 2011 (CDT)

Step Towards Spam Prevention?

I can't do that , nor want to :3. (not even Bureaucrats can, only the Site Admin)
I only semi-protected some pages, so users have to register an account before making edits. (Two pages with speed records disabled and two with edit warrings.)

1. Admins and Bureaucrats don't have many differences with normal, nor even unregistered users. No special GUI nor interface. Only the Site Admin can apply such big changes to the wiki.

Please, guys. Protecting all the pages would be a stupid move. This is a wiki, it's supposed to be open for everyone to help. You also should not protect pages for indefinited time. I realized that there is an option to report an incorrect phishing warning. When the phishing screen appears, click on Report an error and submit the request to google. If enough of us do it, the warning message will disappear. Fer 12:27, 2 October 2011 (CDT)

The idea was to remove the wiki from the general Google blacklist. If you want to disable the alert on your Chrome browser, you can disable it on Options > Under the Hood > Enable phishing and malware protection, but you will disable it for all websites. It's not just Chrome. It's also Firefox. I click not a phishing site although, you'll need Mpcovcd to tell Google that his site isn't a phishing site. Also, <3 , I updated some items. There must be something that made Google think it's a phishing site...

This Needs to Stop

I'm afraid that there is little that we can do now to prevent spam, and the most common measures have already been implemented(blacklist, captcha). But given the open-edit nature of wiki websites this will always be an issue.
If you find another way of preventing spam, talk with the wiki admin Mpcovcd, he is the only one who can install or tweak them. Fer 17:16, 11 October 2011 (CDT)

• Creating a wiki council (suggest topics on a wiki page and discuss them at a monthly meeting on an IRC channel)

• Change background to an image so the logo stands out
