• -ette specifies the feminine form of a name (Annette, Jeanette, etc.). [1]. Tigrou is Tigger [2], a male name; Tigrounette is most likely the female form of Tigger (but could be a small Tigger).
• Tigrounette is shown wearing a pretty pink bow, something rare on a guy (But who knows, those crazy French fashions, y'know?).
• Tigrounette has a female avatar on the forums in which he/she originally introduced to the game [3], which could possibly be a photo of herself (But could be a guy who thinks the photo is nice).
• The two of Tigrounettes World of Warcraft characters i've found are a girls [4][5] (but it could be a Guy In Real Life).

The only thing we have towards Tigrounette being male is the "his" in the translation. Unless there is specifically something meaning HE when Melibellule wrote it, in French, it could be that Google has simply translated some possessive word to be "his", since "it's" or "his or her" would make no sense. --Acidifiers 11:30, 2 September 2010 (UTC)

French possessive words are weird. Where Google translates as "his concept" is technically correct in English. It's just French does not distinguish between "his", "hers" and "its". The possessive word (son, sa, ses) agrees with the article, not the subject. Because the word "concept" is "le concept" (masculine), the possessive word has to agree (hence "son concept"). Both "his concept" and "her concept" translates to "son concept".

If you want further proof, why not see for yourself? (my thanks to Google haha).

"Un Carton" is "A cartoon / cardboard. Feminine version is une. Again, the un/une refers to the noun, not the person speaking. E.g. "une personne" (a person) does not specify what gender the person is. They could be male, but the noun "person" has female gender. I was asking about why you would have "il" and "un" refer to the same object in that particular sentence. I know that objects have genders in other languages, and I know that French is tricky with that, too. After reading the text in melibellule's blog I can say that the il/un stuff is irrelevant (il refers to the game, which is masculine in French). However, there are a couple of signs that Trigrounette may be a guy:

• nous nous sommes aperçus -> she uses the masculine-plural form of the past participle for a reflexive verb: this implies than at least one of the subjects is male, as long as she is female, Tigr has to be male (it may however be a little grammar mistake, Frenchies do this kind of mistakes all the time)
• Nous nous sommes alors dit same as above, but dit is irregular (masculine and feminine are pronounced different) making the above mistake here is hard even for a French
• nous avons mis this does NOT prove anything, as the verb is transitive and not reflexive (I've put it here as a warning).

I don't think these facts prove definitely that Tigr is male, but they provide quite an important clue. Cheers, Plotza 11:53, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

Yeah but still I still have a hard time to believe that tigrounette is a girl because why would tig even lie about that so that would be gay for a guy to pretend that there a girl.Also tigrounette has a bow on her mouse when it is loading the transformice log in page and also look at the picture for the one year thing, it shows tig on her cpu propley editing transformice but on her head is a bow.And there is a bunch of site were is shows tig being a girl as her avatar.And if you uses some one else on the internet like a picture of some one and use that as your avatar or profile to any thing(favebook,myspace) you can get arrested for that I do believe.
